Primary Full Day
Hours: 8:30 am – 2:30 pm
Open their awareness, establish their foundation.
Our Full Day students engage 2 a three hour work periods, one in the morning an another in the afternoon. These work periods include meaningful individual and small group lessons, work with our engaging materials which span all areas of curriculum including practical life, art, language, math, science and geography. Full Day students spend time making valuable social connections both in the classroom and during outside play time. Snack is available for them to serve themselves as the feel they need it. Full Day students transition into the second part of their day by enjoying a relaxed lunch and time outside before beginning their second three hour work period.
Primary Half Day
Our Half Day students engage in a three hour work period consisting of time group and individual lessons across our rich curriculum in areas including practical life, art, language, math, science and geography. Children enjoy time outside for large muscle and social development. A healthy snack is offered each day for the children to serve themselves. Half Day students transition into their afternoon at home with a large group time, typically including group music, movement and story time. Many Half Day children transition to Full Day mid year as they become ready for more time at school.
Fridays @ Sannauk Forest Preserve 9:00-12:00
Children enrolled in PCMA have the unique opportunity to participate in our Nature Based Education program at Sannauk Forest Preserve. This program is designed to foster a love of our natural world in young children. Each session will include a hike through the forest, hands on activities, experiments and crafts and a snack.
Parent Child Classes
Nurturing the life you created within, now hand in hand.
This a Parent and Child class for parents and children ages 18-36 months. In this class we will begin the Montessori journey with you and your young child. We will do this by integrating Montessori principles that you can use in your own own.
